02 · Brand cues

The period matters.

The terminal period in AMANA. is the brand, not punctuation. It must be retained on every placement. At least one instance per frame should have the period in AMANA Green.

03 · Placement

Five zones. Millimetric.

The painter's mm-precise reference. Each zone marks where a brand element applies and at what dimensions. Read alongside the paint brief.

Open PNG in Photoshop, Figma, or Illustrator. 2. Drop amana_wordmark_white.svg over zone DT; scale to fill the long axis. Export preview. 3. Repeat for TT, ST, HT, FK per the zone table. 4. This file's zones are hand-placed on the tubes of a stock photo. They're approximate -- the painter works from mm dimensions in the brief, not from pixel positions here. 05 · Brief

What you hand the painter.

Color spec, placement rules, vendor shortlist, and the sharp edges to watch (warranty, carbon-safe process, clearcoat UV stability).

Paint Brief — Factor One 56 (2026) — Group AMANA Livery

Prepared for: Custom painter / wrap shop

Client: Group AMANA (groupamana.com)

Frame: Factor One, size 56, model year 2026

Frame material: Carbon fiber composite (TeXtreme, Toray, Nippon Graphite Pitch)

Important — read before quoting

This is a high-end carbon road frame. The Factor One uses an integrated bar/stem assembly, full internal cable routing, T47 threaded BB, and an aero-section seatpost. Painting it requires:

1. Strip the existing clearcoat and decals without damaging the underlying carbon weave or the resin matrix.

2. Mask all bonded interfaces (BB shell, dropout inserts, head tube bearing seats, brake mount inserts) before sanding or media blasting.

3. Use carbon-safe primer and a UV-stable clearcoat. Standard automotive paint systems can chemically attack the resin if applied directly.

4. Confirm in writing that paint work is compatible with the carbon and will not delaminate the lugs or bonded fork crown.

Painting voids Factor's manufacturer paint warranty. Painter assumes responsibility for paint adhesion, finish quality, and any visual defects in the new finish.

All wordmarks are HK Grotesk Black (paid font, available from hanken.co or Adobe Fonts via Group AMANA's brand subscription). Substitute Helvetica Neue Black if HK Grotesk is unavailable. Letter spacing tightened by ~2% from default.

The terminal period after AMANA is a deliberate brand element and must be retained on every instance. The period is the only identifier-level element; it is the brand, not just punctuation. Period color should be AMANA Green (#128F45) on at least one location per frame.

Vetted painters / wrap specialists

For carbon road frames, recommended specialists (not endorsed, just on-record reputable):

  • Fat Creations (UK) — fatcreations.co.uk — known for WorldTour team frames, ~£1,800–£2,800
  • Spray.Bike Pro (UK) — spray.bike — DIY paint system + pro service tier
  • Velocolour (Canada) — velocolour.com — high-end, lead time 12+ weeks
  • Busyman Bicycles (Australia) — busymanbicycles.com — boutique
  • Sean Pritchard / Pritchard Cycles (US) — custom paintwork on carbon
  • Winston Bicycles (US) — fork in custom paint

For a project in the Middle East: ship the frame to one of the above, or contact Factor's UK shop directly for their custom paint program.

Process expectations

  • Lead time: 6–16 weeks from frame receipt depending on shop.
  • Cost: $1,500–$3,500 for frame + fork in custom multi-color scheme with logos. Single-color repaint without logos closer to $700–$1,200.
  • The shop will request: bare frame (with all components removed), bare fork, headset bearings out, BB out, seatpost out, and shipped in a hard case or original Factor box.
  • Decals will likely be printed on clear vinyl, applied over basecoat, then sealed under clearcoat. This is the durable method; painted-on logos are far more expensive and only marginally better visually.

What to provide the painter

1. This brief.

2. The placement diagram (placement_diagram.svg or .pdf).

3. The vector logo files (amana_wordmark.svg, amana_wordmark_white.svg, amana_wordmark_solid.svg).

4. Selected concept mockup as visual reference (one of the 5 SVG mockups).

5. Pantone bridge book reference for AMANA Green if available.

Open questions to resolve with painter

  • Confirm tire/rim color preserves brand cohesion (most schemes assume blacked-out wheels).
  • Confirm crank arm and chainring will not be repainted (component finish, not frame).
  • Confirm painter's clearcoat is UV-stable for outdoor riding in high-UV climates (Dubai, Riyadh, etc.).
  • Confirm painter can match HK Grotesk letter-spacing exactly, or get sign-off on Helvetica Neue substitute.

Sign-off

This brief is a starting point. The painter is responsible for surface prep methodology, paint chemistry, and finish durability. Confirm all spec details in writing before frame ships.
